Do you always seem to have aches and pains?!

Running is a great sport and an amazing form of exercise, but unfortunately around 80% of runners get injured every year!!

As a runner  it’s easy to think “oh it’s just an ache and will go away tomorrow”. Or maybe you assume you just slightly over over things today, or you just need to buy new shoes?!?. Even worse, maybe you think “it’s normal” to have aches and pains, tight calves or hips... because you’re runner…

Is that how you’re feeling right now?

If so, you’re not alone. In fact, everyday at Cornwall Physio we help people who feel this way.

You see, with running injuries, everyone asks us the same questions…

Why do I get so many niggles? (I don’t even know what I did…)

Why does it always seem to be my right side?

Is it normal for my calves to feel so tight all the time?

Will I ever be able to train for an event without picking up an injury?

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of bad information out there that causes people to live with aches and pains for too long. Here are the most common mistakes we see the people of Cornwall making when it comes to running injuries...

Mistake #1: Thinking the pain will go away with rest.

Mistake #2: Believing that aches and pains will be “fixed” with painkillers or foam rolling.

Mistake #3: Buying new shoes or asking advice from shoe sales-people. Thinking that injuries can somehow be ‘fixed’ by spending money on new kit.

Mistake #5: Assuming niggles are a “normal” part of being a runner…

Mistake #6: Believing that since you tried other healthcare professionals (maybe even Physiotherapy) in the past means that it won’t work now.

Mistake #7: Relying on “Dr. Google” or YouTube for exercises that didn’t make any difference (or maybe even made your problem worse!)

Mistake #8: Getting sports massage to temporarily relieve tightness, only to find it comes back after the massage wears off.

Have you been making these mistakes?

If any of this has happened to you, we want to say “we are sorry”...but remind you that you’re not alone.

In fact, we see people just like you every day.

And that’s why we’ve created a free running injury guide for you. It goes over 7 ways to prevent running injuries for good.
(and you can click on the button above to download it).

But maybe you feel like you’ve read a lot of free information on the internet, and really just want to talk to someone about your problem.

Is that you?

If so, then we have a special opportunity for you (one that VERY FEW clinics offer).

We save a limited number of spots each week for time for people who are not sure what to do about their running niggles.

That way, you can speak to one of our Physiotherapists, and get any question answered first, before ever making a commitment to book an appointment.

Does that sound like something you would like to do?

Here’s the most important thing…

Most people get stuck trying to make a decision about what to do next.

They go days, weeks, months (even years!) without taking action.

The one thing we can guarantee is that by doing nothing, your running won’t get better.

So the next important thing is to take action.
